Recent versions of apt-get allow the checking of repository signatures, this means that you can be sure the package you're downloading is the one you should be receiving.
However you should always be careful when installing packages from untrusted sources - since they can do anything to your system.
The packages upon this site are signed by my GPG key, and the archive itself should be signed in such a way that apt-get will be able to validate the packages contained upon it.
Importing My Key
You should be able to download this key, then add it to your apt-get keyring by running the following as root:
apt-key add apt-key.gpg
This will stop the following error:
